Shipping Policy

Shipping is free on all stair parts except products in the Wood Balusters and Primed Balusters categories (or any other specified category).  Our carriers are USPS (United States Post Office), UPS, or Estes Trucking.

Shipping charges for parts not eligible for Free Shipping (Wood and Primed Balusters or any other specified) are non-refundable.

No exchanges.
Please inspect your orders immediately!  Do not wait for the day of installation!  Any discrepancies realized after 30 days will not be considered for resolution.

We DO NOT ship Next Day Air, Overnight, or any shipping equivalent thereof under any circumstances, even if customer pays.  Our experience has found it too expensive and unreliable.

We DO NOT guarantee dates of delivery.  Once your order leaves our warehouse, it is the carrier’s responsibility to deliver the package.  All inquiries should be made to your local carrier’s office if a shipping irregularity occurs.

If orders include both stair parts that are eligible for Free Shipping, BUT also include Wood and Primed balusters, shipping will only be charged for Wood and Primed Balusters.

Large orders going through our trucking carrier and headed to a residential neighborhood will require Call Notify.  Truck drivers DO NOT carry packages directly into a garage or front door.  So be sure to answer the phone call when the truck driver calls so that you will be present during delivery.

Cancellation Policy:

Orders already shipped cannot be cancelled.  Refunds under this circumstance will be issued once order is returned to our warehouse.  It is the customer’s responsibility to contact carrier to refuse shipment and handle charges involved in the process.

Return policy:

Returns may be honored within 30 days upon receiving your order.  Return shipping charges will be customer’s responsibility.

Parts that have been altered (cut, stained, etc) are not eligible for returns.

Stair Parts Depot sells stair parts only and is not responsible for workmanship of stair builders, contractors, or home owners.

It is the customer’s responsibility to know local building codes in their area.

Custom orders are not refundable.
